Blogging from the Broadcast Booth!

Hello all...blogging here from Wiggins Park in the broadcast booth with Matt, David, Michaela all hanging out under the beautiful blue skies. Warren Haynes is a song away from the end of his set and just performed the 4th cover song of the weekend, "One" by U2. I'm not so sure what my fascination is with the covers from the AATMF; I guess as a music fan I think its cool when bands do covers during their live performances. Except of course if you're watching a cover band. John Legend opened the Main Stage with four songs on a Baldwin baby grand and sounded incredible. Jim Boggia followed and then Danielia Cotton came out with her new band -only together for six days - and blew the roof off the "bowl" as we're now calling the big lawn in front of the stage here. Danielia rocked everybody out with AC/DC's "Back In Black". That's the latest. Come by the broadcast booth if you're at the fest tomorrow or later today even! Hey, there goes Warren Haynes...walking off stage to a standing "O".

AATMF - A Big Place and A Lot Of Music

Plan on heading out to Wiggins Park in Camden for our festival? If you do make sure you pace yourself. The grounds are absolutely wonderful and spacious and there's music everywhere you go. It's a big place with lots of music. Last night's music was great and between the XPN Local Stage with Blue Method,Josh Komorowski and Brian Seymour and the main stage performances from Billy Miles, Soulive and Drive By Truckers their was plenty of good sounds. On the main stage - as expected - the DBT's rocked, and Soulive kicked out some serious jams, including covers of "I Know You Got Soul" by Bobby Byrd, "Tighten Up" by Archie Bell & The Drells and an encore of "Crosstown Traffic." Nice.
