Erin McKeown

I'm here with Matt Reilly post- Erin McKeown set: To quote Matt - "Erin ROCKS!" But I just realized that Matt was actually speaking about the woman who played Joanie in Happy Days, Erin Moran. That Matt is a funny guy.

Great set from Erin. David Dye and I concur she's got the best t-shirts at the merchandise booth. Gene Shay just brought Loudon Wainwright III out and Loudon looked in to the crowd standing right in front of the stage and asked: "Is this my mosh-pit?" Loudon is a funny guy.

Maybe he and Matt should develop a pilot together for a TV show.
The pitch: Funny DJ meets Funny singer-songwriter and they become a comedy team.

Hilarity ensues.

Day 3 (and some of day 2)

Hello from the broadcast booth once again! Terrific day of music yesterday. Watching Rodney Crowell and the Outsiders, Roger Lamay and I turned to each other when Rodney was leading the crowd sing-along to his cover of Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone," we were fairly convinced that was "The Moment" of the day. It was an emotional high complimented by all the incredible performances that preceded it. Rickie Lee capped off the day with a beautiful performance.

So, here we are about three minutes before Townhall open up the Main stage. Already today on the XPN local stage, Mutlu, Devin, Birdie, John Francis, Melody performed to an incredible reception and I would be remiss if I didn't say that Ernie & Neal and John Flynn and Skip Dennenberg have rocked the Kids Corner stage in the Children's Garden, which they did. Rocked, that is.

More later.
