At their SXSW showcase last week at Antone's the Brooklyn based Oakley Hall came across as the children of the Velvet Underground and Fairport Convention. Acoustic and electric instrumentation merged with folk-rock harmonies atop of some very strong songwriting and their onstage interaction was transcendent. The band recently signed to Merge Records and are working on a new album that is due at the end of the summer.

Claudia Mogel: Fiddle, Vocals
Patrick Sullivan: Vocals, Guitar, Organ
Fred Wallace: Guitar, Lap Steel
