Hey guys - sounds like the right thing to do! Looking forward to a fresh new voice on the drive home, and especially excited to have David devote his full-on focus to one of the best radio programs in the country, World Cafe! And, to hear all of this on the best radio station ever!

How lucky are we to have these two extraordinary talents in our radio market? As a listener who sits in my car waiting to hear all the songs for Top 5 at 5, I know Jim McGuinn will deliver them brilliantly and be great overall M-Thursday 4 to 7. Great decision on David's part to continue with Funky Friday, you can hear how much he enjoys doing every Friday. But, also a wonderful choice to concentrate on World Cafe to make it even better than it is now - is that possible? Best of luck to these two extraordinary music men who both rock!

I personally am very grateful to all the staff at XPN. My day would not be the same without them at this point. Commercial radio is simply not an option any more.
David, it's good to hear you're getting support to bring us more of the programing and interviews that I value so highly. How many new and struggling artists would be lost without DJ's like you championing their cause? Jim, we love you at night and are sure you'll fill those big shoes just fine.
Once upon a time in FM there were stations on the east coast like WPLJ and WNEW. Their legacy is being carried on by XPN and taken even further. I'm sure someone like Scott Muni would be extremely proud.
