Fronted by the prolific Will Sheff (who is also in the band Shearwater) Okkervil River formed in New Hampshire and settled in to Austin in the late 1990's.

The band's fourth full length album The Stage Names is due in August on Jagjaguwar Records. If you're a fan of Incredible String Band, Andrew Bird, Calexico and Neil Young circa On The Beach, then it's almost guaranteed you'll like Okkervil's cinematic and moving indie-rock singer-songwriter vibe.
