In this seventh installment of the Radio Video vlog series, WXPN General Manager Roger LaMay discusses the announcement to acquire a new signal in the Harrisburg/Lancaster/York region.
My family and I are thrilled this is happening. Living in Hershey our favorite radio will just get better. Now I will be happier paying for membership.
I'm glad you are expanding your signal, but I live in the Washington DC area. There is no station like XPN here. I believe WGTS 91.9 is up for sale. I'm sure it would bring in lots of new members. We would love to have a AAA Public Radio Music Station here.
That's the greatest new since we had to move to Mechanicsburg 12 years ago! We get a good signal in our dining room (faces Harrisburg) but not the living room (faces Carlisle). Go figure. The new signal may also help with the "dead zone" when we travel the turnpike, between the Lebanon and Morgantown exits. Great return on our investment in XPN.
Great news. In Carlisle we sometimes get bleed-over from 88.1 at Dickinson College depending on where we are in town. Any chance of getting Harrisburg area traffic reports during commute times? (Sort of the "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" syndrome - give something and we want more.) Thanks!
I live in Harrisburg and since the switch to 88.7 my reception is so bad that I cannot listen to the station. I was able to receive 88.5 with no problems. Any idea on how I can "fix" this?
