My Morning Download 9/13/07 - Jens Lekman

Swedish indie singer-songwriter Jens Lekman has a new album called Night Falls Over Kortedela that will be out on Secretly Canadian on Oct 9th. He began releasing singles and EPs and released his proper full length debut in 2004 and has since become one of indie-rock's most prized singer-songwriters. His music is bittersweet, romantic and warm; well-crafted orchestral pop that you should check out if you're a fan of Belle and Sebastian, Sondre Lerche, Okkervill River, early melancholic sides by The Kinks and The Association. No kidding, don't overlook this record when it comes out. Of it's genre, it is one of the best of the year.
