If you've been following the local music scene here in Philly over the last couple years chances are that you'd have already known how amazing Philly's War On Drugs are. Thanks to the folks at Secretly Candian who are putting out the band's forthcoming Wagonwheel Blues on June 19th, you can live practically anywhere in the world to start your love affair with them. Lead vocalist and guitarist Adam Granduciel writes the songs on this sonically grand journey into space and jangle and electricity, along with the help of guitarist Kurt Vile, bassist Dave Hartley and drummers Kyle Lloyd and Charlie Hall.

Dylany, Arcadefirey, Forgotten Firey and acidyshoegazery is the color of the War On Drugs landscape. The've made an album that quite simply has a gorgeous "sound" to it that's both otherwordly and familiar.
